Well of course I care…
but just a little.
Ladies and Gents (Gents? are there any gents here?) I have taken the next step in my hair journey.
This has been a long time coming, and although I dabbled in the style years ago – I finally decided to give it a go again. I wanted to a few summers ago, but at that point in my life I was very “aware” of how others saw me. Always in desperate need of approval, I let others talk me out of it.
No More I Say.
So I have been educating myself on proper cleaning, and manufacturing, as well as installing…. (big thanks to Marijah Bjork for her inspiration to finally do it!)
And this weekend it happened.
Welcome my dreadies into the world.
they’re still pretty stiff, and will relax over time – but I am very happy with them
once my hair has grown out and is 4 inches longer or so (so hopefully by next summer) I will return to my blonde locks and continue my journey with real hair.
The ones I installed are synthetic Kanekalon hair
But in the best interest of keeping you wonderful readers updated, I thought I’d share it with you first!
To continue on – I’m just going to share some of my favorite pictures – and hopefully give you some insight on the direction I’m going
I believe dreadlocks are beautiful – and misunderstood. Just like me.
Give or take on the beautiful part.
I look forward to updating you all on my new journey!!!
Til next time!
